art blog? and other matters

i don't really want to start another blog, but i do like the idea of an art blog very much.  i think it's more intimate when it comes to expressing my artistic side... then say, just posting a link to a portfolio [which btw, is @ http://rinjii.carbonmade.com - go take a look!]

it's something i'll probably consider later on.  maybe when i actually head off to school....


anyway!

currently i'm working on the basis of two separate webcomics.  i say webcomic now because i don't know what kind of direction it'll eventiually take, for instance, if it'll actually be seen in print either as a graphic novel or standard comic book- but i do know that it'll be online at one point..  either way i'm excited about the progress i'm making with character development and plot details, but the knowledge of my artistic shortcomings is beginning to creep in and kick me in the butt.  not to mention the hide-and-seek games my creative process seems to enjoy playing with me T_T


still no news from DHL concerning my canadian study permit application.  i think monday or so will make week 2 since we mailed everything out again with the correct bank draft.  considering how long the medical stuff takes to process, my hopes of being outta here by december's end is slowly dwindling away.  and my backup plan of LCAD is souring as well- they sent me an incorrect I-20 form, and i'm STILL waiting on the fedex package to come back with a correct version.  it's pretty damn irritating, considering that they've been in contact with me since june.  and i know the folks are pretty disenchanted with them now.  don't blame them either.

so yea, that's been my life so far.  can i hope for something a little more happy, a little more forgiving?  life doesn't seem to want that.
